Dependency and Structure Modelling or Design Structure Matrix (DSM) techniques support the management of complexity by focusing attention on the elements of a complex system and how they relate to each other. DSM-based techniques have proven to be very valuable in understanding, designing, and optimizing complex system architectures such as those of products, organizations, and processes.
The International DSM Conference provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, and developers of DSM-related tools to exchange experiences, discuss trends, and showcase results.
The 19th international DSM Conference DSM 2017 will be hosted by the Aalto University Design Factory, Finland on September 11th – 13th , 2017. Papers of six to ten pages can be submitted for review until April 21st, 2017. In addition tutorials, workshops and keynote speeches will complement the event.
